Checking Back In!
It's been a long time since I've written after a good start at posting blog entries last year. I felt as if
I was deep within a cave all winter and am beginning to come out now with this gorgeous spring. I've had some health
challenges as well, including getting migraines for the first time in my life and dealing with chronic allergies and sinus
infections. Nothing too serious, just nagging enough to often make me feel fuzzy and have difficulty in focusing.
Spring is my favorite time of year, though, and it's helping me come out into the world again!
There are several things coming up that I'm looking forward to. First, a spring firewalk on April 17th.
We had a fantastic winter firewalk in January smack in the middle of our snowy and cold winter.
Nineteen people faced their fears and walked across the hot coals. Well done! Check out the calendar and firewalk
page for more information on this next one.
Another event that will be new
this year is The Whole Life Festival happening May 21-23. This will be a gathering of all kinds of talented local folks
offering teachings on a variety of alternative spiritualities, green living, movement and healing modalities. We're
looking for help on all levels, so let me know if you'd like to be involved in some way.
The Sister Deer Circle has been focused on helping Grandmother Mary Duty this last winter. Mary is a big animal
lover and has ended up with a feral cat colony living under her house. We've been able to trap, spay and neuter 15 out
of 16 cats, which is a great success.
If you want to
volunteer at this time, I would suggest helping out with the Whole Life Festival. After the festival, I'll have time
again to organize another meeting of the Sister Deer Circle and we'll get back into a more regular pattern.
You can now follow me and the school on Facebook. You don't have to join to see the page. If you want
to post comments, however, you'll have to get an account. It's free and can get pretty fun and addictive!
I hope you all are enjoying the beautiful energy of spring. Take some time to sit on the
Earth and feel the energy of renewal. I feel that spring reminds us that even though things end, life continues on and
always finds a way to be reborn.
Many Blessings!
